Message from the Group General Manager
DHS Training & Consultancy & Malaysian Hospitality Association
At DHS Training & Consultancy, our purpose is clear: to shape the future of the hospitality industry by developing its most valuable asset—its people. We specialize exclusively in hospitality because this is an industry we understand deeply, speak fluently, and are genuinely committed to sustaining.
With over 30 years of personal experience across hospitality operations, I recognized early on that DHS stands apart. Our strength lies not only in scale—with a portfolio of more than 600 industry-aligned programs—but in relevance. Every program is designed specifically for hospitality professionals with a minimum of 12 months of industry experience, transforming hands-on work exposure into structured competencies, recognized qualifications, and sustainable career pathways.
DHS was established on a clear philosophy: industry-first, not profit-driven. We exist to support the hospitality sector—not to commercialize it. We understand the financial and operational realities faced by hotels and hospitality organizations, where margins are tight and people are critical. Our role is to strengthen the industry by ensuring training remains practical, relevant, and accessible, without placing additional financial strain on organizations.
This philosophy is reflected in initiatives such as the DHS Hospitality Retainer Program, (www.ret2u.com) a cost-effective training solution designed especially for budget hotels and hospitality organizations, enabling continuous skills development without excessive cost burdens.
Our approach goes beyond conventional training delivery. We invest in human capital, nurture both emerging and experienced talent, and provide targeted development for HR professionals who play a critical role in building resilient, compliant, and future-ready organizations.
As a subsidiary of DHS Hospitality Academy and the appointed Strategic Training Provider of the Malaysian Hospitality Association (MHA) (www.mha-dhs.online), we are proud to support national industry priorities through skills-based programs, professional certifications, APEL A pathways, and complimentary initiatives aligned with Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
To ensure accessibility and nationwide impact, our programs are strategically clustered by regions and delivered through university venues and approved training centers—bringing quality, consistency, and opportunity closer to hospitality professionals across the country.
Our commitment to lifelong learning is further strengthened through FREE online Hospitality English programs, delivered in collaboration with CARCAR City College, Cebu, Philippines. Looking ahead, we will introduce eCornell programs in April 2026, alongside Professional Certificate pathways leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, offered through the Malaysian Hospitality Association.
Together with our industry and academic partners, DHS and MHA are redefining hospitality education—bridging experience with excellence, responding to real industry needs, and preparing Malaysia’s hospitality workforce for the demands of tomorrow.
